All users of learning materials hosted on the Lucebra platform are expected to abide by the following standards to ensure the integrity of learning within Lucebra learning experiences. Learners are required to familiarize themselves with and comply with the Terms of Use for the Lucebra platform, as well as any code of conduct, academic policy, honor code, or any institution's requirements associated with programs in which a learner has enrolled through the Lucebra platform.
Academic misconduct undermines the value of Lucebra-hosted credentials and devalues the authentic efforts of other learners. Therefore, learners engaging in misconduct are subject to consequences as described below.
Work within a Lucebra Activity: All activities on the Lucebra platform, including logins and all course activities, are subject to these policies. This includes exams, quizzes, peer review activities, assessments, discussion board contributions, guided projects, and labs. Activities outside the platform related to coursework on the platform are also covered.
Unauthorized Activities: Any activity that violates Lucebra's Terms of Use, course or platform policies, or academic standards is considered unauthorized. This includes illegal activities and those that violate integrity standards expected of a learner on the Lucebra platform.
Lucebra will determine relevant sanctions based on the nature and severity of the misconduct, the stakes of the assessment, and any previous history of misconduct by the user. Sanctions may include, but are not limited to:
No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations. Honor Code violations will be determined at the sole discretion of Lucebra and its partners. Learners will be notified if a determination has been made that they have violated this Honor Code and will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken.
For Degree, MasterTrack, and University Certificate Programs, consequences are at the sole discretion of the content provider. These may include:
Learners are required to acknowledge understanding of these terms, for example: "I, John Doe, understand that submitting work that isn't my own may result in permanent failure of this course or deactivation of my Lucebra account."
By adhering to this Honor Code, learners contribute to maintaining a fair and ethical academic environment, ensuring the integrity and value of the learning experience for all.
